2002-2004 Mercury 225, 250 & 3. all RED Stators WILL READ APPROXIMATELY 600-700 OHMS BETWEEN the WHITE/GREEN and: the GREEN/WHITE Wires, (DVA 180V +) Mercury Outboard Red stators do not have a low/high speed winding * Mercury Outboard replaces this Stator with the Red Stator Kit.

CDI 174-9710K-1 Mercury Mariner Stator - 2/3 & 4 Cyl. Put a timing light on one plug wire at a time and slowly take it up to 5000 RPM looking into the timing light.

You can know you have a bad stator by looking at it. Replaces EXISTING Mercury RED STATOR only.
